On Tuesday my parents, who are visiting us this week and sadly leaving again tomorrow, Matilda and I drove to a pig and cow farm about 45 minutes away which is driven by Germans. In an effort to eat healthier and organic in our family of 3 lately I wanted to order a local Christmas ham for this year. The farm advertises that their pigs are indeed "happy" and that their food is from their own farm. I also wanted to support the Germans ;)
It was a really cosy farm. I hoped to see pigs with Matilda, but they were inside unfortunately. We just have to go to our local farms instead.
In case you didn't know - the box on the left is a "bee-house" :)
Look at all these colors! Oh, how I love fall.
Then we saw the farm chicken and Matilda got quiet all of a sudden. She better get used to it because we are going to have a few next year! :)
Always on the run..
Matilda found some chestnuts which made me homesick for Germany.
We didn't meet the German couple but bought some real German Bratwurst and Nürnberger, yummy.
