We got up early to see the guards change at the Buckingham Palace but when we came, there was no showing, bummer.
hmm.. I just noticed I didn't take a big shot of the Palace.. But I did make a video which I am compiling together :)
We continued to walk to Westminster Abbey and came across "New Scotland Yard" - and I got a little kick out of it. :) But I couldn't really see which one it was from all the high buildings..
London Eye, Big Ben and Westminster Abbey.
Inside Westminter Abbey courtyard
Westminster Abbey was beautiful (from the outside) but I would never wait in line for over an hour..
Look! It's BIG BEN! Afterwards we went to Boots (a drugstore chain which also sells cosmetics, snacks, soda, sandwiches and baby stuff) got babyfood for Matilda, sandwiches & crisps (chips :)) for us and sat in a nearby park for lunch.
The London Eye
Right around the park we visited The Prime Minister. But he was too busy to meet us.
Just playin' around.
We continued our walk (we probably walked around 15k every day..) and came across an army museum
Ha! This is my favorite photo of all time!
Matilda is like "who the heck is that guy?" and the guard is like "what the heck are they doing? Does she carry a bomb on her? I'll move as fast away as I can, but wait - I can't move!"
There are so many pubs with fresh flowers outside.
The National Gallery
Leicester Square, London's Broadway
My little redhead :)
Piccadilly Circus! I regret that we didn't come back when it was dark to see the lights.
Carnaby Street. The Beatles have sung about it.
A 3 store M&M store - it was crazy and crazy packed!
At the end of the day we really deserved a Five Guy meal. It was our first time and really good although quite expensive. It even had a queue to get in!
... to be continued ...
